What Will I Do?

The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course consists of three main phases: 

• Knowledge Development - Self-study knowledge development through eLearning.
• Confined Water Dives - Pool dives to learn basic scuba skills.
• Open Water Dives - Open water dives allow you to practice your skills and have fun.

If you've completed a scuba diving try dive experience, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course certification. If you have completed this with us here at Scuba Training & Service within the last four weeks, we will take your £35 try dive fee off your SDI Open Water Scuba Diver course fee.

Course Upgrades

The SDI Open Water Scuba Diver Course can be completed with the SDI Drysuit Diver and Computer Nitrox Diver. You will require an SDI Drysuit Diver certification to continue scuba diving in the UK and rent cold water scuba equipment, including a drysuit. We offer both courses as upgrade options:
